NGOEssentials strives to help small and mid-sized nonprofits fulfill their mission of positively impacting lives. We provide strategic services ranging from grant writing to secure funding, capacity building to strengthen your staff's ability to improve operations. While grant writing is our primary focus, we also offer a range of services to non-profit/nongovernmental organizations, including organizational assessment, board and staff training, fundraising planning, strategic planning, and program development.
The NGOEssentials team is led by Adaku Ekpo, an expert in non-profit organizational development, grant-writing, and strategic partnership development. Over the past 17 years, she has been involved in initiating, evaluating and managing U.S. government and corporate-funded development programs in the United States, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, and a number of Eastern European Countries. She has experience in developing and managing programs that empower vulnerable communities with employability and entrepreneurial skills.
As a business development leader, Adaku has successfully secured over $30 million from various donors including USAID, U.S. State Department, U.S. Department of Health, DFID, and a wide variety of foundations. Adaku serves on a number of boards, holds a Masters in government administration from the University of Pennsylvania Fels Institute of Government, and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law
