While grant writing is our primary focus, we also offer a range of services to non-profit/nongovernmental organizations, including organizational assessment, board and staff training, fundraising planning, strategic planning, and program development.
The NGOEssentials team is led by Adaku Ekpo, an expert in non-profit organizational development, grant-writing, and strategic partnership development. Over the past 17 years, she has been involved in initiating, evaluating and managing U.S. government and corporate-funded development programs in the United States, Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, and a number of Eastern European Countries. She has experience in developing and managing programs that empower vulnerable communities with employability and entrepreneurial skills.
As a business development leader, Adaku has successfully secured over $30 million from various donors including USAID, U.S. State Department, U.S. Department of Health, DFID, and a wide variety of foundations. Adaku serves on a number of boards, holds a Masters in government administration from the University of Pennsylvania Fels Institute of Government, and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law
